Our Priorities for Waterfront

We work for the people of Waterfront and aim to be the voice for their priorities whilst promoting a fair, free and open society.

Your Waterfront team are always working to clean up our community, protect and improve our green spaces and get action for leasholders affected by unadopted highways and the cladding scandal.

A Cleaner Waterfront

The Waterfront Lib Dem Team is determined to bring new life to our community, which has been neglected for too long by the Welsh Labour Council. Our goal is to rejuvenate the "jewel in the crown" of Swansea, the Maritime Quarter, and make it a destination that visitors want to return to. By enhancing foot traffic for local businesses and improving the quality of life in our community, we aim to restore the shine to the area we call home.

Road Closures

Our stunning community is a popular destination for a variety of competitive and charitable events, and it is wonderful to host such a diverse range of visitors. We are proactively collaborating with Council Officers and local resident groups to minimize the impact of road closures, by improving communication about closures and limiting the dates of closures in both the Maritime Quarter and SA1.

A Better Deal for Residents

The residents of our community have been patiently waiting for too long for the completion of adoptions for our roads, pavements, street lighting, and parks. The Waterfront Lib Dem team is committed to putting pressure on the Council and developers to finally deliver on these important improvements.

At the same time, many in our community have been impacted by the fire safety crisis, where shoddy building practices have left homes with serious fire safety concerns and residents facing increased insurance premiums and costly fire safety upgrades. The team is working closely with fire safety advocates across Wales to hold Welsh Labour accountable and push for meaningful action to resolve this critical issue.
