Meet Mike
Mike was first elected in 1999 and has had a distinguished record of service for Sketty, having previously been Cabinet Member for Education and is a former Lord Mayor of Swansea.
Sketty has had Welsh Liberal Democrat representation for over 25 years, and many of their Councillors have been Lord Mayor or a Cabinet Member. With this breadth of experience, the team have stopped building on Home Farm in Singleton Park, and continues to work with residents to champion their priorities.

Nicola is a successful local business woman running a local hair and beauty salon. Nicola puts on an annual Christmas Fayre in Sketty Cross and is passionate about making a difference for residents regularly joining residents in the Poppy Lounge.
Michael was first elected in 2022 and has lived in Tycoch for decades. A dedicated community champion, Michael also serves on finance and audit commitee.
First elected in 2022, James McGettrick is an academic researcher at Swansea University with a background in Chemistry and used to work at Tata Steel. James was heavily involved with volunteering for Friends of Singleton Park and has worked closely with residents over Bethel Chapel.
Cheryl was first elected in 2004 and has a strong record across Sketty for getting things done and regularly attends the Poppy Lounge to meet residents. Cheryl is a former Lord Mayor of Swansea.
